Dubai World Trade Centre builds on growing events industry momentum with expansive Q1 line-up
Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is set to build on the momentum it has created to rebuild the global events industry after the pandemic with a packed calendar of conferences and exhibitions starting this weekend. Following the success of its global mega-events in 2021, DWTC is gearing up to host a wide range of international events, including the world’s largest food and beverage trade event, Gulfood 2022.
The exhibition season at Dubai World Trade Centre will kick off with Intersec, the world’s leading emergency services, safety and security event, from 16-18 January, which will feature an accredited world-class conference with over 500 international and regional speakers.
From 24-27 January, DWTC will host Arab Health, the largest gathering of healthcare and trade professionals in the MENA region. More than 3,500 companies from 60 countries will participate in the 2022 event.
The UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai) will kick off its 26th edition on 1-3 February under the theme “Education and Innovation Transfer”.
Gulfood, the world’s largest and most influential annual food and beverage exhibition and one of DWTC’s premier events, will return from 13-17 February. Gulfood’s position as an international leader covers the entire spectrum of the food and beverage industry, offering an unrivalled trade platform, a world-class showcase for industry excellence and talent, and a forum for highlighting the latest trends, innovations and business opportunities.
Over the past 26 years, the Dubai Pharmaceutical and Technology Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT) has consolidated its position as the most significant pharmaceutical exhibition in the MENA region. The three-day 2022 event will be held from 22-24 February and will attract the world’s leading pharmacists, marketers, researchers, academics, scientists, clinicians, students and other healthcare professionals.
Dubai Derma, now in its 21st year, will retain its position as the most significant scientific event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa and South Asia regions and will be held from 27 February to 1 March. The forthcoming conference is expected to feature 250 renowned speakers and global exhibitors will showcase the latest breakthroughs in skin care and cosmetics.
Held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and with a 45-year history, the Middle East Energy (MEE) exhibition has established itself as the most authoritative and comprehensive energy event in the region. The 47th edition of the exhibition will be held from 7-9 March. MEE gathers leading manufacturers and industry experts from around the world.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, the 18th Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD) will be held from 14 to 16 March and is expected to attract over 5,300 visitors and 640 participating brands from over 84 countries.
The seventh edition of World Art Dubai, the flagship event of Dubai’s official art season, will return from 16-19 March to add a splash of colour and originality to Dubai’s event calendar in the form of a show that celebrates the beauty of art. Bringing together amazing and accessible works including paintings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, glass and photography, World Art Dubai welcomes more than 10,000 visitors each year from all five continents, with 150+ exhibitors showcasing competitively priced contemporary art from 400+ emerging and established artists presenting 3,000+ unique works of original art.
From March 21-23, GISEC, the region’s most authoritative information security networking and business platform, will bring together information security and technology professionals and business leaders for three days of discovery, learning and networking with key decision-makers and leading companies from around the world.
The DWTC first quarter calendar will also include events such as Dubai International Horse Fair, Medlab, Breakbulk Middle East, Sleep Expo, Aircraft Interiors Middle East, iFX Expo, Middle East Foam & Polyurethane Expo, Affiliate World Global Dubai, Dubai International Wood & Wood Machinery Show, Custom Show Emirates 2022, Dubai Entertainment, Amusement and Leisure Expo and others.
