FedEx Express Breaks Ground on New Hub at Dubai South
FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express company, laid the foundation stone for a new regional air and ground hub for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (MEISA) region in the Dubai Souths logistics district. The ceremony was attended by executives from Dubai South, Dubai Customs and FedEx Express.
The new FedEx Express regional hub, expected to be completed in 2023 and located near Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), will meet the growing e-commerce and trade needs in the MEISA region and beyond, contribute to regional and global network efficiency, and expand the company’s commercial and operational presence.
