Equiti Group gets naming rights for metro station
Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has granted Equiti Group, a leading provider of brokerage services to individuals, companies and organisations, the naming rights to the Umm Al Sheif metro station, which will be renamed Equiti Metro Station, for a period of 10 years. The station is located on Dubai Metro’s Red Line and features a strategic location due to its connection to several key roads and proximity to Dubai’s iconic landmarks.
Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC is regulated by the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority as a Category I broker of OTC derivative contracts and foreign exchange spot markets, licence number 20200000026.
“Metro station naming rights represent a lucrative investment opportunity for numerous UAE companies and businesses to promote their brands in Dubai, which stands out as a unique front for diverse mega-corporations and a grand platform for large financial and business firms. Dubai Metro stations are a strategic place for investors to showcase their brands. The metro is a mainstay of transport in Dubai and a key hub in the daily movement of hundreds of thousands of different members of society,” commented Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of RTA Railway.
“This new partnership underscores Dubai’s prestigious profile, the reality of business at various levels. It increases the confidence of major companies and investors in RTA’s projects in Dubai. The partnership also demonstrates the role of this vital sector in achieving sustainable economic growth by injecting capital and investment into RTA development projects, in particular the Dubai Metro, the advanced mass transit system and the lifeline of passenger transport in the emirate,” Kalbat added.
Iskandar Najjar, CEO of Equiti Group, said: “Equiti is honoured to be invited to become part of the UAE’s infrastructure and community by granting naming rights to one of Dubai’s most central metro stations on Sheikh Zayed Street.
“As a global broker, we are exceptionally excited to partner with the Roads and Transport Authority on our journey to become the most prominent multi-asset and multi-platform broker in the UAE.”
Commenting on the partnership, Mohamed Al Ahmad, CEO of Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC, said: “We are very excited about our partnership with RTA and look forward to being part of the UAE, offering our financial services in this generous country.”
In April 2022, RTA will begin posting the new Equiti metro station name on outdoor signage, in smart and electronic public transport systems, and in voice announcements on board metro trains before and after arrival at the station to make passengers and commuters aware of the new name.
