Mohammed bin Rashid meets Mohamed bin Zayed at Al Marmoom
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to discuss the future of the UAE.
They spoke about the success of Expo 2020 Dubai in bringing people from all over the world together to exchange ideas and learn about other cultures. They also talked about the UAE’s high ranking in global indices, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the initiatives that make up ‘Projects 50’.
Sharing pictures of the event online, Sheikh Mohammed said he met Sheikh Mohamed at Al Marmoum in Dubai on Monday during an iftar.
“Hosting my brother Mohamed bin Zayed at Al Marmoom holiday home in Dubai this afternoon, we discussed a number of current issues and talked about a group of upcoming projects of the homeland,” he said. “Our country is developing fast and its future, God willing, is good, noble and honourable”.
Preparations for the UAE’s next 50 years of growth and the government’s efforts to ensure a good quality of life for its citizens and residents were also on the agenda.
Sheikh Mohamed also released an online message on the occasion, saying the two leaders discussed the UAE’s “many blessings”.
“I was honoured to join my brother Mohammed bin Rashid for an iftar in Dubai where we reflected on the many blessings of our country and discussed the future development of the UAE under the wise leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote.
The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, Chairman of Dubai Media Council, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon, Special Advisor in the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
