Dubai is the world’s best city for coastal holidays
Dubai has been named the world’s best city for coastal holidays, according to a Compare the Market study. According to the portal, the emirate is the perfect combination of city and beach.
Luxury resorts, upscale restaurants, brand-name boutiques and pristine beaches have helped Dubai rise to the top of the ranking. The comfortable annual average temperature of 27 degrees, although tourists complain about the heat in summer, also played an important role.
A good holiday is also guaranteed by the ultra-low annual average rainfall of less than 160 mm. Every year over 3500 events are held in Dubai and over 12 thousand restaurants are open for guests. Croatia’s Dubrovnik and Spain’s Valencia share the second place. Alicante takes the third place.
In April 2022, Dubai topped the ranking of the best family holiday destinations in a survey conducted by InsureMyTrip. A total of 62 destinations participated in the ranking, with Colombo, Turks and Caicos Islands and Barbados being the closest pursuers.
Users rated the quality of family hotels, attractions and beaches, the overall safety of the destination and even the underwater sea currents. Dubai received particularly high scores in five of the seven categories, including safety (10), quality of family entertainment (10), weak ocean currents (9.75) and sea temperature (7.7).
In May, Dubai emerged as one of the global leaders in terms of financial security for retirees, according to the results of a joint study by Veolar and Magmatic Research.
The study took into account factors important to the elderly such as quality of health services, financial security, mobility, communication, general security, affordability of housing and others.
According to Veolar, older people’s decision to move when they reach retirement age is often driven by social factors such as security, financial stability and access to healthcare.
