Emirates wins APEX Regional Passenger Choice Awards®
Travellers around the world have voted Emirates the best airline in the Middle East in the Best Wi-Fi and Best Food & Beverage categories. The airline received these awards at the prestigious 2022 APEX Regional Passenger Choice Awards® held in Dublin, Ireland.
For this year’s awards, passengers who have flown more than one million flights on nearly 600 airlines worldwide were asked to rate their flight experience in five subcategories: seat comfort, cabin service, food & beverage, entertainment and Wi-Fi.
The two awards recognise Emirates’ ongoing efforts to provide the best customer experience on board and bring the total number of APEX awards presented by Emirates to 30 since the inaugural awards in 2010.
The Best Food & Beverage Award recognises Emirates for its consistently high quality regional cuisine and extensive beverage menu. The airline’s attention to detail is ensured by its hourly operation, with more than 110 dishes from nearly 4,600 recipes loaded onto flights each year to satisfy all tastes. Emirates also pays special attention to its beverage offerings, which range from fresh cocktails and refreshments to a wide selection of hand-picked teas and coffees, along with the finest champagnes and special vintage wines and spirits that any sommelier would envy.
Staying in touch is a daily necessity both on the ground and in the sky. Emirates was the first airline to equip its entire fleet with mobile connectivity in 2007 and now every aircraft is equipped with Wi-Fi. Free connectivity options are available to all Business and First Class passengers and Skywards Platinum members and above. Bargain plans are available to allow for internet or chatting throughout the flight. Last year Emirates replaced its MB-restricted plans with unlimited or timed plans, making the available options easier to understand as few users were aware of how much MB they were using per session.
In an effort to ensure that its customers always “fly better”, Emirates is investing heavily in further enhancing its branded services and products for passengers in all classes of service. Emirates will soon embark on a major cabin modernisation programme that will see 120 aircraft fitted with the latest premium economy cabin, as well as the latest interiors in other cabins.
