WETEX and DSS 2022 invite to field trips
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is organising several field trips to the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show (DSS) 2022. Delegations, visitors and exhibitors will be presented with DEWA’s key projects, its pioneering achievements and the latest innovations in the field of green, clean and renewable energy.
DEWA will organise the 24th WETEX and DSS exhibition under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Supreme Council for Energy, from 27 to 29 September 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The visit schedule includes trips on smart autonomous buses to tour the Innovation Track at Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the world’s largest single-site solar park on the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model, with a production capacity of 5,000 megawatts by 2030. The visit includes a tour of the DEWA Innovation Centre, which houses a museum and exhibition on solar energy and renewable energies as well as a conference centre. The Innovation Centre tells the story of DEWA’s successes, outstanding historical inventions in the field of electricity and the latest developments in renewable and sustainable energy. Other sections of the exhibition include more than 30 interactive displays, the DEWA museum, desalination plants, a presentation of solar energy technologies, etc.
