Burj Khalifa in top 10 most popular world attractions
Dubai’s Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the highest building in the world, has become one of the ten most popular attractions in the world, according to a report by the popular travel portal usebounce.com.
The world-famous tower holds eighth place with 16.73 million visitors a year. The Burj Khalifa skyscraper was searched 24.59 million times on Google search engine, it gathered 6.239 million postings on Instagram social network.
The study analysed the world’s top landmarks and rankings were based on annual number of visitors, ticket prices, Tripadvisor ratings and Instagram posts.
Niagara Falls, the Taj Mahal, the Grand Canyon, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower, Banff National Park and the Roman Colosseum are also in the top ten.
It is worth noting that Burj Khalifa alone generates about US$ 621 million from ticket sales annually, with an entrance fee of US$ 37.
Earlier, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa skyscraper offered discounts for residents to visit its viewing platforms At the Top. You can admire views of the summer city from levels 124 and 125 for AED 60 per person (standard price for a visit is AED 159).
The summer offer is valid until September 30, including weekends and public holidays. To avail of it, you need to present your Emirates ID card at the ticket counter. Tickets can be booked online at atthetop.ae.
Burj Khalifa skyscraper has two observation decks, the two-level At the Top on the 124th and 125th floors and At The Top Sky on the 148th floor at 555 m. Visitors to the At.Mosphere restaurant in Burj Khalifa can also enjoy incredible views of the city.
A high-speed lift takes guests quickly to the observation deck, which features large panoramic windows all around. During the ride, guests watch a multimedia presentation about the history of Dubai and the construction of the Burj Khalifa.
