Messages on sand appear on Dubai beaches
Dubai municipality has left messages on sand for beach lovers. In this way, the authorities have decided to draw the public’s attention to the issue of cleanliness and protection of the environment.
Every morning when the beach is being cleaned up, a special roller printer prints messages on sand for beach-goers to raise awareness for the environment. One inscription reads: “Our environment is our responsibility”.
In addition, the municipality is delighting sunbathers with creative images of sea creatures – turtles, crabs and shells – to cheer them up. It is noted that messages are printed every day on all municipal beaches in Dubai.
Earlier, Dubai Municipality announced plans to further improve the city’s beaches, which are considered one of the main tourist attractions. The project will be completed by the end of 2022.
According to the municipality, Al Mamzar Corniche, Jumeirah 1 and Jumeirah 3 beaches will be renovated, while Umm Suqeim I beach will be expanded and its area will increase. The beaches will be filled with new sand and the breakwaters will be upgraded.
On the site of the demolished section of La Mer Dubai beach, at the same time, new beach clubs and premium restaurants will appear. The coastal area will be landscaped and named J1 Beach.
Work will be carried out by Merex Investment, and the new beach is scheduled to open by the end of 2023. Restaurant brands such as Gigi Rigolatto, Bâoli and Sirene Beach by Gaia – a total of 10 restaurants – will be on the block.
J1 Beach will be the developer’s flagship signature beach destination, the first of its kind in the Gulf region. The licensed restaurants will have panoramic sea views and guests will be transported by golf carts.
