DWTC kicks off 2023 with busy programme of events
The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) opens the first quarter with an impressive and diverse line-up of conferences and exhibitions.
The Dubai Pharmaceutical and Technology Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT) opens the calendar of events for 2023.
World of Coffee Dubai, the premier coffee exhibition for exhibitors and visitors, will return for a second time on 11-13 January.
Intersec, the leading global event for emergency services, safety and security, will take place from 17-19 January and is designed to bring the industry together and accelerate discussions on strategies and technologies to address the challenges faced by global security managers and professionals.
To round off the month, from 30 January to 2 February, the DWTC will host the Arab Health exhibition and congress, the largest gathering of health and trade professionals in the MENA region. New for 2023, the Intelligent Health pavilion is a ‘show within a show and conference within a conference’ focusing on visual demonstrations of the most innovative and sustainable healthcare technologies, with use cases from collaborating equipment manufacturers, e-health solution providers and digital health developers.
Another major medical event is the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai), which will be held at DWTC from 7-9 February. The world’s largest annual scientific dental conference and exhibition, now in its 23rd year, is again dedicated to education and the transfer of innovation and is a must-attend industry exhibition for dentists, dental professionals, hygienists, technicians, radiographers, students, members of dental associations as well as representatives of ministries, manufacturers and suppliers.
To learn about innovations in the world of food and drink, Gulfood, the world’s largest and most influential annual industry exhibition, will again take place from 20-24 February. DWTC’s flagship event, this super-charged five-day event covers the entire spectrum of the food and beverage industry, offering an unrivalled trading platform, a world-class showcase for industry excellence and talent, and a forum to highlight the latest trends, innovations and business opportunities.
Leading up to Ramadan, March will be one of the busiest months in our history with the launch of Dubai Derma, the largest scientific skin care gathering in the Middle East, North Africa and the Indian subcontinent, from 1 to 3 March.
Middle East Energy (MEE), which will be held at DWTC from 7-9 March under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and our guide to the future of energy transition, will cover five key production sectors and host the first Strategic Conference – the only high-level forum focused exclusively on uncovering complex opportunities and challenges for senior energy and utilities executives in the Middle East and Africa. Middle East Energy has facilitated more than AED 2.5 billion worth of business deals in 2022.
From 9-12 March, World Art Dubai (WAD) will add colour and creativity to Dubai’s events calendar and bring inspiration and originality with works of art from all mediums, from paintings, prints and photography to sculpture, ceramics and glass.

From March 13 to 15 the focus shifts to the 19th Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development (DIHAD) Conference and Exhibition.
The region’s first humanitarian aid and development event, DIHAD has been building bridges in the humanitarian aid and development communities since 2004, bringing together key leaders from international NGOs, the Red Crescent and Red Cross, UN agencies, charities, academic institutions, aid providers and government bodies to address the needs of people and countries affected by crises and natural disasters.
GISEC, the region’s most authoritative information security networking and business platform, will bring together information security and technology professionals and business leaders on 14-16 March for unique access to key knowledge and networking opportunities with senior government officials and business leaders from around the world.
Other DWTC calendar events include Light Middle East (17-19 January), The School & Nursery Show (4-5 February), Breakbulk Exhibition (13-14 February), Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) & Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (1-2 March), World Police Summit (7-9 March) and Dubai International Horse Fair (17-19 March).
