Dubai International Boat Show 2023 opens
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, opened the Dubai International Boat Show in Dubai Harbour yesterday. The event is one of the most influential boat shows in the world.
During his visit, His Highness toured the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation’s pavilion, where he was briefed on the Intelligent Marine Inspection Project. The project allows customers to inspect and verify their maritime vessels online, with Dubai Maritime Transport Authority inspectors able to verify vessels at the customer’s location without having to bring them to the Authority’s building. Using a virtual link between the client and the inspector, key parts of the seagoing vessel are photographed and checked for safety and security standards to ensure the client’s safety during operation.
His Highness also visited the Dubai Police and Gulfcraft booths to inspect the highly anticipated Majesty 111, which will be unveiled at the Dubai International Boat Show. In addition, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed visited the stand of Al Rayyan Marine.
More than 1,000 companies and brands from over 60 countries are participating in the 29th edition of the Middle East’s largest boat show. The show has been lauded for its role in bringing together the world’s leaders in the yachting industry. The event demonstrates the strength of the region as a world class destination as Dubai is one of the top ten maritime centres in the world.
