Mohammed bin Rashid visits Dubai International Arabian Horse Championships and DIHF
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited the 20th Dubai International Arabian Horse Championships. Taking place from 17 to 19 March at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the world-class beauty pageant for thoroughbred Arabian horses comprises 151 horses competing in 14 categories for a total prize money of $4 million.

His Highness, accompanied by Sheikha Hessa bint Hamdan Al Maktoum and His Excellency Helal Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, also toured the 17th Dubai International Horse Show, which runs alongside the championships. This leading equestrian industry event in the region, featuring 60 exhibitors from 35 countries, connects a wide range of equestrian suppliers with horse enthusiasts, owners, breeders, stables and clubs. This year, for the first time, the DIHF showcased exhibitors specialising in equine medical services, with an estimated $24.5 billion market worldwide.
His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted the growing profile of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championships, which has helped the emirate raise its status as an equestrian hub and destination for horse owners from around the world.
This year’s championships feature a number of horses that have won medals at beauty equestrian competitions in the UAE and Qatar, as well as the World Horse Championships, held annually in Paris, France.
