DMCC introduces gold and silver bullion coins
DMCC has unveiled prototypes of a new series of gold and silver bullion coins commemorating the UAE’s achievements over the past 50 years. The coins will be available for purchase after Ramadan.
Announced at the 2022 Dubai Precious Metals Conference (DPMC), the coins are the result of a partnership with the Czech Mint, the official supplier of currency coins to the central bank of the Czech Republic.
Embodying the success of the UAE, the new bullion coin prototypes feature a variety of designs, including an image of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Louvre Abu Dhabi to reflect the status of the UAE as a major global cultural centre.
DMCC will seek to mint previous issues of its popular gold coins in conjunction with the Czech Mint.
During 2022, DMCC has strengthened its promotion of the broader gold ecosystem: the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DMCC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with FinMet to expand the gold product offering and DGCX market participation by enabling bullion traders to raise short-term funds through new gold contracts; DMCC has signed agreements with Comtech Gold and SafeGold to offer physical gold-backed digital assets for positive change in the Middle East worth 20m
