04 Platform: Dubai feedback app
The Dubai government has launched the 04 Platform app to collect complaints and suggestions from the public. With the help of 04 Platform, residents of the emirate will be able to send comments and suggestions directly to government officials in less than 2 minutes.
The new app aims to contribute to improving the quality of public services provided in Dubai. According to Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, “to become a proactive government, we must actively listen to people and make informed decisions based on their wishes.”
He said the government of the future sees the people as strategic partners in the design, implementation and evaluation of public services. The new platform will enable officials and stakeholders to receive suggestions directly and also respond to problems faced by the public.

According to the Crown Prince, the new metric could become a global model to help other governments design their nations’ development strategies. It will also help position Dubai as a city that prioritises well-being, security and the ability to overcome challenges as well as seize opportunities.
The new ranking (metric) will take into account 66 indicators in five key areas and was created by the Dubai Future Foundation and the Dubai Government Excellence Programme. It will identify areas for collaboration and knowledge sharing among government agencies, resulting in increased efficiency.
