Shades of Dubai: contest for photographers
Dubai Culture, in partnership with Nikon Middle East and with the support of Sikka, has launched the ‘Shades of Dubai’ photography competition for aspiring photographers and professionals.
The competition is open to anyone aged 15 years and above. They have to submit their vision of Dubai’s landmarks and cityscapes to the judging panel, which includes Indian photographer Mukesh Batra, among others.
Nikon will provide the selected artists with professional cameras and tripods specifically for the competition. The most talented authors will have the opportunity to participate in the ‘Shades of Dubai’ exhibition to be held at Al Safa Library in the summer of 2023.
According to the organisers, the competition will provide photographers with an opportunity to explore the beauty of Dubai in a new way and explore their creativity in a new way.
Dr Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts & Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, said: “This competition is an opportunity for photographers to shed light on Dubai’s treasures and beauty through new eyes. We invite photography enthusiasts to participate and unleash their creativity in front of a wide audience.”
