Dubai AI & Web 3.0 Campus to open in emirate
DIFC, the leading global financial centre in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, has announced the construction of ‘Dubai AI & Web 3.0 Campus’, the largest cluster of artificial intelligence and technology companies in the MENA region.
The campus, located in the DIFC Innovation One building and with ambitious plans to expand to a dedicated campus of over 100,000 square feet over the next five years, will focus on the use of artificial intelligence and Web 3.0 in the financial services industry. Dubai AI & Web 3.0 Campus will be home to visionary entrepreneurs, disruptors and engineers who have a deep passion for new technologies. The campus will provide world-class physical and digital infrastructure, including research facilities, acceleration programmes and collaborative workspaces, to attract, build and scale AI companies.
DIFC’s 2030 strategy aims to create the future of finance through advanced technology, innovation and partnerships. The DIFC Innovation Centre offers one of the most comprehensive FinTech and venture capital development environments in the region, including cost-effective licensing solutions, compliant regulations, innovative accelerator programmes and funding for growth stage start-ups. The fastest growing sector at DIFC with 686 associated firms, FinTech and Innovation has attracted over $615 million to the Centre during 2022.
Dubai AI & Web 3.0 Campus will be a catalyst for growth, attracting global innovators, start-ups and industry leaders to create a dynamic ecosystem of AI-based initiatives in the region. AI and Web 3.0 companies will also benefit from a dedicated industry licensing and regulatory framework, as well as DIFC’s unique soft infrastructure.
DIFC is leading the creation of a global ecosystem, the region’s largest MENA for AI and Web 3.0, fostering advanced technology development and attracting global talent. With seamless integration of physical and virtual infrastructure, the Dubai AI and Web 3.0 Campus will be the preferred headquarters for leading AI and Web 3.0 companies and venture capitalists operating in the region.
