Debanjali Kamstra wins Mrs Earth title
Debanjali Kamstra, 36, from the United Arab Emirates, has won the Mrs Earth international pageant, which is dedicated to protecting the environment.
The winner was the UAE’s first female representative at the pageant, beating 45 other contenders in the competition for the crown.
“I can’t believe I will be the one to bring the crown to the Emirates. It is the year of sustainable development in our country, which is very important to us. I want to be a source of inspiration for other girls who want to represent their countries,” the winner revealed.
It is worth noting that the Mrs Earth pageant is not related to the Miss Earth pageant, which has been held since 2001.
In 2022, Debanjali Kamstra became the first woman to represent the UAE in the Mrs World pageant, which “celebrates the uniqueness of married women”.
The Indian-born Indian and mother of two, who has been living in the UAE for about 15 years, took second place at the pageant (72 contestants competed). She said her experience in beauty pageants helped her a lot in winning the 2023 edition. After receiving the crown, she will take up nature protection and charity work.
