Anantara Mina Al Arab – Maldivian-inspired resort in UAE
A new five-star Maldivian-inspired Anantara Mina Al Arab resort will open in Ras Al Khaimah in the fourth quarter of 2023. The hotel is a collection of overwater villas with private pools.
The eco-friendly resort, with 174 rooms and suites, on the coast of the northern emirate will be managed by hotel operator Minor Hotels. The overwater villas will stand on stilts and have thatched roofs, thus resembling traditional Asian huts.
It is already known that guests will be served by a Thai restaurant, as well as bars by the pool and on the beach. In addition, the hotel will open the famous Anantara Spa with a hammam, gym, swimming pool, aerobics and yoga studios, as well as squash and tennis courts.
The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah offers more than 8.1 thousand hotel rooms, of which 4.4 thousand are of five-star level, and 2.2 – four-star. Tourists can also stay in more affordable gesthouses and apartments.
Most hotels in the emirate offer the “all-inclusive” format, which is very popular in Russia. Among the most popular activities for tourists in Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to beach holidays, is a visit to a pearl farm, during which you can learn that pearl mining was the main source of income for the emirate’s residents before oil was found in it.
A ride on the world’s longest ziplane, Jebel Jais Flight, launched in 2018, is also among the must-do excursions. Guests can also enjoy hiking on Jebel Mountain, water sports, desert walks, exploring the emirate’s history, culture and gastronomy.
Ras Al Khaimah is the northernmost of the united Arab emirates. Its population is about 300 thousand people. You can get to the emirate through Dubai airport, the road by car takes about 45 minutes.
