SO/ Hotels launches hotel in Dubai

Trendy hotel brand SO/ Hotels has launched its first hotel in the Middle East in Dubai, in the 340 metre Uptown Dubai skyscraper. The SO/ Uptown Dubai hotel is a 10-storey collection of designer rooms and luxury suites.

In total, the five-star urban resort features 188 hotel rooms and suites and 227 signature residences with marble bathrooms, sleek wood finishes and intricate design elements that combine art and fashion.

The hotel already features the Uptown Brasserie restaurant and signature poolside bar Lazuli. Club Citronelle, glamorous restaurant Celeste and lounge bar Savant are due to open later this year. The pool and gym are already welcoming guests, while the SO/ spa is preparing to open.

SO/ Uptown is not Uptown Tower’s only resident. About 22 floors of the tower will be dedicated to offices. The atrium will also house a variety of restaurants, while the podium will house shops, galleries and public spaces.

It is also known that the first city hotel of the international chain One&Only will launch in Dubai on 1 December 2023 and has already opened room bookings. “The One&Only One Za’abeel Vertical Resort will be housed in the One Za’abeel mixed-use complex, a unique building in the centre of Dubai.

The resort will be operated by Kerzner International. The project is currently preparing for the opening of the longest landscape pool in the UAE at One Za’abeel. The pool will be housed in the world’s longest console, The Link, which acts as a bridge between two buildings, 100 metres above ground.
