Apple shop in Dubai stormed by a crowd

Security guards at the Apple shop in Dubai Mall had to barricade the doors after Apple fans tried to storm the shop. It is specified that crowds of excited young people gathered at the entrance to the shop on the eve of the release of the new model of smartphone iPhone 15.

While at first they were just waiting in the queue, as their numbers grew, they turned into a riotous crowd. Security guards tried to calm the crowd down and persuade them to come back another day, but they also ended up having to close the shop for security reasons.

Despite the fact that official sales of the iPhone 15 started on 22 September, some customers came the day before to reserve the new devices. The iPhone 15 has a number of unique features, including a 48 MP main camera and a titanium body.

It is specified that buyers who came from other emirates, decided to stay in Dubai at relatives to have time to buy or book the novelty in the official shop in the mall.

Earlier this week, the start of sales of villas on the new island Palm Jebel Ali in Dubai caused a great stir – hunters for luxury real estate from the night occupied the queue at the office of the company-developer Nakheel to make a deposit for the coveted mansion.

As a result, all the villas were sold out on the first day. The first properties will be commissioned in 2027. A five or six-bedroom beach villa was available from AED 18 million (US$ 4.93 million).

This required a deposit of 20 per cent of the price. The cost of the so-called “coral” villas with seven bedrooms started from AED 26 million (US$ 7.1 million), and premium land plots with an area of 22 to 25 thousand square feet – from AED 40 million (US$ 10.9 million).
