Yas Waterworld reopens in Abu Dhabi
Water theme park Yas Waterworld reopens after its annual scheduled closure and is now open again to the public.
In addition, Yas Waterworld has announced a special ‘Family and Friends’ offer for UAE residents: four one-day tickets for the price of three. A 25 per cent discount applies for each additional ticket.
The water park is open from 10:00 to 18:00 daily and tickets cost AED 885.
Located on Yas Island, Yas Waterworld has been delighting water park lovers for 11 years with rides, slides, 6 of which are unique to Abu Dhabi, and the only water cinema in the region.
The water park is divided into sections with separate areas for babies and older children. The children’s area at Yas Waterworld includes a shallow pool with a small slide and swings, as well as a trickling fountain around the edges of the pool. There is also a small bubble pool for toddlers.
In the same area as the children’s area is a larger pool with many gentle slides suitable for younger children. This area is well shaded, with large awnings secured over each of the pools.
In November 2023, Miral, a leading developer in Abu Dhabi, announced a 16,900 square metre expansion of Yas Waterworld at Yas Island. It is scheduled for completion in 2025. It will add 3.3 kilometres of slide sections and 18 new facilities to the current area, bringing the total number of rides at the park to more than 60 units.
In addition to the existing rides, shops and restaurants, the park will feature a pool edge bar, boating, family raft rides and water tunnel races. The expansion will also appeal to younger thrill-seekers as it will introduce smaller versions of Yas Waterworld’s most extreme rides.
