Brand Dubai releases Ramadan recipe book
Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai government’s press office, has released a new guidebook featuring 30 original recipes for traditional Ramadan dishes. They have been developed by chefs from Dubai’s famous cafes and restaurants.
The initiative is part of the #RamadaninDubai campaign, which aims to bring the joy of Ramadan celebrations to people across the emirate. The guide introduces Dubai residents to vibrant culinary offerings and gives them the opportunity to hone their own culinary skills.
Download the guide online to recreate the unique dishes served in Dubai’s most popular cafes and restaurants. The digital guide features simple recipes compiled by 10 restaurants and cafes and 10 chefs.
Through this annual initiative, Brand Dubai aims to support innovative businesses and the creativity of talented chefs, as well as engage the public in culinary creativity and cooking original dishes.
The organisation believes that the guide will ignite a passion for excellence and exploring new culinary concepts within the Dubai community. It compiles iftar and suhoor dishes ranging from appetisers, soups and salads to main dishes, desserts, smoothies and specialities.
The recipes draw inspiration from the rich variety of Emirati, Mediterranean, Italian, Indian, Japanese, French, Japanese and Afghan cuisines. Some of the guide’s contributors are Michelin-starred chefs.
Among the chefs who shared their special recipes are Vincent Le Moal; Meera Eisa Alnaqbi; Sheikha Hesa Al Khalifa; Alexander Stumpf; Célia Stoecklin; Abeer Ibrahim Allouz; Aysha Al Obeidli; Christophe Devoille; Tim Newton and and Faisal Alharmoodi.
