The Link gets entry in Guinness Book of World Records
One Za’abeel Towers, one of Dubai’s newest architectural structures, has officially received an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s longest cantilever, The Link. The building joined the list of world record holders on 1 March 2024.
Measuring 230 metres in length, The Link splits two skyscrapers 100 metres above the ground. The console, weighing more than 8,500 tonnes, took 16 days to erect, without even having to block the four-lane motorway beneath it.
One of the attractions of The Link is the world’s longest suspended landscape pool, 120 metres long, located at the One&Only One Za’abeel Hotel in the complex.
Panoramic views of Dubai can even be enjoyed from the changing cabins. Bathers can also see Za’abeel Park, the Burj Khalifa skyscraper and the famous Dubai skyline. Pool guests are constantly entertained by a DJ.
One&Only One Za’abeel opened on 1 January 2024. Guests are welcomed in 229 rooms, some of the suites in the Sanctuary Collection feature massage tables for in-room treatments and a meditation area. The property is home to 10 Michelin-class restaurants.
