Global Village postpones closing date
Global Village Multicultural Park, a popular family attraction in Dubai, is wrapping up another season of operations. The park was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, 28 April, but that date has been postponed until Sunday, 5 May.
Global Village began operating this year on 18 October, a week earlier than usual.
Visitors can expect more than 3,500 trade stalls in 27 national pavilions and 200 colourful performances. These include world-class performers, street entertainment and the region’s only water-based stunt show. On weekends, including the last Saturday in April, colourful fireworks will light up the skies above the parks.
This year, Global Village has made it to the list of the most remarkable attractions in the United Arab Emirates. The park received this title at the Most Remarkable Venue Awards organised by Tiqets.
This season, Global Village has added entire gastronomic neighbourhoods such as Lucky Street, Railway Market, Floating Market and Road to Asia, showcasing culinary delights from countries such as Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines and more.
For many UAE residents, Global Village is a favourite place to shop and visit entertainment venues, food stalls and attractions.
This year, ticket prices at Global Village have increased slightly. Tickets, valid only from Sunday to Thursday and excluding public holidays, will now cost AED 22.5 per person when purchased online and AED 25 at the entrance. Tickets giving access to the park on any day cost AED 27 when purchased online and AED 30 at the entrance.
