First healthy lifestyle island to be built in the UAE
The world’s first healthy lifestyle island will be built on the border of the two emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Al Jurf resort complex will include a health resort, residential complexes with 86 villas and 49 residences, as well as two penthouses.
The resort, which is being built by Abu Dhabi-headquartered developer IMKAN in partnership with the world-renowned SHA Wellness Clinic, will be named SHA Residences Emirates and will feature a long coastline with a private beach.
The Al Jurf neighbourhood features the historic palace of Sheikh Zayed, the founding father and first president of the United Arab Emirates. The palace is planned to be restored and turned into a tourist attraction.
Construction of the resort will begin in July 2024 and it will be operational in 2026. Doctors, therapists, yoga instructors, trainers and chefs will serve residents and guests of the resort around the clock.
Wellness programmes will include fitness as well as holistic and innovative treatments. The healthy lifestyle resort will be connected to UAE cities by road and waterways, and a helipad will also be equipped.
