RTA launches parking and fare payment app
The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has released an updated version of its branded app, which now provides a one-stop shop for motorists and public transport users.
The app will make it easier to access the authority’s core services: for example, it offers quick renewal of driving licences, car registrations, as well as parking payments, SALIK top-ups and NOL public transport fare cards.
Traffic fines can also be paid on the app. The new updated version of the Dubai RTA app is available for download on iOS and Android platforms.
The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority earlier announced the reopening of three metro stations – Onpassive, Equiti and Mashreq – which were closed for repairs following heavy rains and flooding on 16 April.
The Energy station, as specified, will start receiving passengers by the end of May. The authority explained that it has fully completed the maintenance work and the stations are ready for operation and meet safety requirements.
Meanwhile, the authority will continue to provide additional shuttle buses for passengers to reach their destinations. Specifically, buses will continue to run from Business Bay Metro Station to OnPassive, Mall of the Emirates, Equiti, Mashreq, Al Khail and Dubai Internet City stations.
