Popular attractions in Dubai announce closures

As the hot season is about to begin, some popular tourist attractions in Dubai have announced their closure until autumn.

Dubai Safari Park closed its doors to the general public on 2 June 2024. However, this year, for the first time, the park will be partially open to the public during the summer months. The park will welcome a limited number of tourists each day with special Summer Pass tickets.

Summer Pass tickets, available for groups of up to 10 people, will be valid during the summer months, from June to September, and offer three packages to choose from: ‘Summer Tours,’ ‘Summer Safari Journey,’ and ‘Walk In The Wild.’

The tours will take place during cooler times of the day so that the animals can go outside without being exposed to the heat – in the morning and evening.

Al Wasl Plaza, one of the most exciting places to visit in Expo City Dubai, has also announced its closure. The surreal water feature located within Al Wasl Plaza will also be closed in order to conserve water and energy.

Today, Al Wasl Plaza is the ‘heart’ of the Expo City Dubai neighbourhood, created on the site of the former exhibition complex. The plaza is crowned by a large-scale dome with 252 laser projectors around its perimeter. It serves as the world’s largest projection screen with a 360-degree view, on which a colourful immersive show is demonstrated.

Tourists and residents of Dubai will be able to enjoy the displays of flowers at Dubai Miracle Garden for another two weeks. During hot weather, this blooming exhibition will stop selling tickets; the garden has announced that it will end the season on 15 June. Normally, Dubai Miracle Garden returns to business in October.

Dubai Miracle Garden is the largest flower garden in the world. It covers an area of 72,000 square metres and its main attraction is the exact replicas of famous buildings and architectural structures made of flowers.

Entry to Dubai Miracle Garden costs AED 95 for adults, AED 80 for children under 12, and children under three go free.
