Dubai Fitness Challenge start date announced
This year’s renowned Dubai Fitness Challenge will officially kick off on Saturday, 26 October and run until 24 November.
The eighth season of the fitness event in the United Arab Emirates encourages residents and visitors of all ages to dedicate just 30 minutes to exercise for 30 consecutive days.
Last year, more than 2.4 million people took part in the event, including more than 35,000 cyclists as part of Dubai Ride and more than 226,000 runners as part of Dubai Run.
Like last year, the 2024 festival calendar will be packed with free sports fitness activities and flagship events, including Dubai Ride and Dubai Run, during which participants will cycle or run past iconic Dubai landmarks along the Sheikh Zayed Highway.
Launched in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, Dubai Fitness Challenge aims to integrate physical activity into everyday life and its benefits go far beyond a monthly event.
More details about the events at this year’s festival, as well as registrations for the event, will be announced in the coming weeks. Residents and visitors can also visit dubaifitnesschallenge.com and sign up to receive updates.
