Dubai Ride participants can rent a bike for free

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with Careem, has made free bike hire available to residents and tourists participating in the Dubai Ride bike ride, which will take place on 10 November.

According to Careem, participants can rent bikes for free at two Careem Bike stations at Entrance A: Museum of the Future (MOTF), Trade Centre St; and Entrance E: Lower FCS, Financial Centre Rd, using code DR24. Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dubai Ride is the region’s largest community event and is now in its fifth year. Anyone can take part in the ride, regardless of age or sporting skills. Dubai Ride routes will open to the public at 5am, with cyclists starting their journey at 6.15am and finishing at 8am.

This is the third consecutive year that Careem has partnered with the RTA for the bike ride. ‘This initiative by the RTA not only aims to make Dubai a bike-friendly city, but also encourages residents to choose sustainable transport alternatives. Our partnership with Careem Bike plays an important role in promoting the key priorities of sustainability, health, safety and happiness of residents,’ said RTA’s Director of Traffic Management and Head of Sports Team.

‘We are delighted to support the RTA’s mission to enhance opportunities for Dubai residents and tourists this year. By providing free bike hire, we are making sure that everyone can take part in the event, whether they have their own bike or not,’ added Careem’s Senior Director of Operations.
