Al Ain to host Eid Al Etihad official ceremony
The official ceremony to celebrate the UAE’s 53rd National Day(Eid Al Etihad) will be held on 2 December 2024 in Al Ain. This year’s celebration is called Eid Al Etihad, and marks the anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971, when six emirates united into one state.
WAM said the ceremony will be broadcast live on local TV channels, as well as on the Eid Al Etihad YouTube channel, the official website and in public places. Details on viewing locations will be announced at a later date.
This year’s celebration will focus on the legacy of the UAE’s founding fathers. Representatives of the organising committee highlighted the importance of Al Ain’s historical significance, stressing that the city seamlessly blends nature and heritage, reflecting the country’s commitment to sustainable development.
During the celebration period, tourists and UAE residents will be able to enjoy a host of festive events including cultural exhibitions, concerts, parades and fireworks. Shopping malls across the country will be decorated in the national colours and will also offer special discounts to celebrate the holiday.
The UAE National Day celebrations promise to be a large-scale event that will highlight the country’s rich cultural diversity and history.
