New world record set in Al Ain
The oasis city of Al Ain has set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s longest chain of fireworks to celebrate the 53rd National Day of the United Arab Emirates.
On 2 December, the city municipality staged a spectacular light show, the length of the fireworks line was 11.1 km, with fireworks launched from 51 platforms.
It is worth recalling that in 2024 in Al Ain also recorded a world record – then the authorities of the emirate collected the world’s largest bouquet of flowers.
As you know, a large-scale drone show will return to Dubai on 6 December. For 38 days, drones will light up the skies over Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR.
There will be two new shows this year, each a colourful display of 1,000 drones lighting up the night sky. You can watch them at 8pm and 10pm each night.
The first show will take place from 6 to 26 December. Viewers will be treated to colourful visual effects and drone figures that will take them on a journey through three decades of magical moments.
The second show will take place from 27 December 2024 to 12 January 2025 and will combine tradition and modernity through visual effects and a powerful soundtrack.
In addition, for true fans of spectacle, a brand new drone pyrotechnic show will take place on 13 December at The Beach, JBR. A combination of fireworks and aerobatics from skydivers, all against the backdrop of Ain Dubai, can be seen at 8pm.
A second pyrotechnic drone show (this time without parachutists) will take place at 10pm the same day. Those who miss the pyrotechnics show on 13 December will be able to see a repeat of it on 11 January.
