World’s largest gold bar displayed in Dubai
The world’s largest gold bar weighing 300kg has been unveiled in Dubai, setting a new Guinness World Record. The giant gold bar can be seen at the Dubai Gold Souk market, its production was carried out by the Emirates Minting Factory.
Everyone can take a photo next to the precious product, which is a kind of work of art. The previous record was set in Japan, where a gold bar weighing 250kg was put on public display.
As previously reported, within the 30th Winter Dubai Shopping Festival, which started on 6 December, the largest cash prize in its history of Dh3 million will be drawn.
Everyone who shops on the Dream Dubai website can take part in the prize draw. In addition, shoppers can also win AED 1.5 million and more than 20kg of gold as part of the Dubai Gold and Jewelry group’s raffle draw.
For the first time, raffle tickets for the gold prize draw will be available online. Other surprises at the festival will include the annual AED 10,000 draws, as well as luxury cars and one million Skyward points.
The Dubai Shopping Festival will run until 12 January, and over the 38 days, Dubai residents and visitors can expect not only numerous discounts and promotions, but also more than 50 concerts and events.
Twice a day there will be 1000 drone shows, and the daily fireworks displays are not to be missed. In Hutt, the sky will be coloured with fireworks every weekend. Motorsport enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a supercar parade and 24-hour races as part of DSF’s first ever car season.
The first Uncommon X festival will also take place this winter, with an open-air cinema, camping, stargazing, campfires and original light installations.
