Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has approved the formation of the Board of Directors of the Young Arab Leaders initiative. The Crown Prince also named 11 leading and influential Arab figures from various fields to promote the initiative.

The Young Arab Leaders Initiative is considered the largest specialised network aimed at supporting promising Arab youth and instilling in them a culture of entrepreneurship, faith in the future and relentless pursuit of knowledge.

The initiative is planned to attract 50,000 participants over the coming period to develop and implement several projects involving Arab youth.

‘We want the initiative to be a platform for Arab youth to realise their aspirations and dreams by developing science, culture and technology in the region. Our mission is to empower future leaders of the Arab region through a network that facilitates the exchange of experiences and stimulates positive change,’ Sheikh Hamdan said.

He also emphasised that the Young Arab Leaders Initiative, launched 20 years ago, embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and his unwavering belief in the ability of Arab youth to shape the future of the region.

The board of directors of the Young Arab Leaders Initiative is chaired by the CEO of Dubai Future Foundation and includes prominent figures from Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Mauritania and Saudi Arabia.
