Popular tourist attractions reopen in Dubai
A new tourist season begins in Dubai, with popular tourist attractions, parks and observation decks reopening after the summer holidays. In the new season, the emirate is expecting a rich concert and exhibition activity.
Dubai Miracle Garden, the largest flower garden in the world, will reopen on 15 September with its main attraction – exact replicas of famous buildings and architectural structures made of 50 million planted flowers, as well as heart-shaped arches on the Alley of Love, especially dear to the hearts of strolling couples in love.
On 16 September, the Hot Air Balloon – hot air balloon flights over the Arabian Desert – will return. At an altitude of 1,200 metres, travellers will see endless sand dunes, grazing gazelles and the majestic Hajar Mountains.
Excursion programmes to Hattu will resume. In ancient times this small town was known for its military fortress and small farms, and today it has become a place of attraction for lovers of outdoor activities and beautiful nature. Cycling along routes of varying difficulty levels, kayaking on the Hatta Dam lake and horse riding in the mesmerising mountain scenery are particularly popular among tourists.
The autumn will be full of interesting festivals and exhibitions. From 10 to 15 October Dubai will host the Arabian Fashion Week Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), recognised as one of the 5 most important international fashion weeks along with New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. Dubai Fashion Week will feature talented designers from the UAE, Middle East, Europe, Asia and America. The event will draw the audience’s attention to the city’s outstanding achievements in the creative and fashion industries.
From 16 to 19 November, Dubai will host the Dubai Desert Classic & DP World Tour Championship, featuring the best international golfers. Fans of the sport will be able to watch the tournaments as well as play on the magnificent golf courses of Emirates Golf Club, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Alongside the golf tournament, the city will host the Dubai Watch Week watch exhibition. From 16 to 20 November, industry experts and exhibitors will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, network and establish new business relationships. Among the expected exhibitors are brands such as Akrivia, Audemars Piguet, Bvlgari, MB&F, TAG Heuer, Breitling, Greubel Forsey, Ulysse Nardin, Montblanc and others.
