DBWC to support women entrepreneurs

The Dubai Business Women’s Council (DBWC) has announced the launch of a new initiative, Industry Insight, aimed at strengthening support for women entrepreneurs and businesswomen in the emirate. As part of the initiative, the Council will organise a series of roundtable discussions with a panel of industry experts and DBWC members, specialists in their respective fields.

The first session will be held on 12 September, and will touch on the media and marketing industry. The event will discuss not only the challenges and opportunities of the sector, but also the transformational potential of the latest media and marketing tools.

The financial services sector will take centre stage in October and the healthcare sector in November.

Details of the upcoming events and the sectors involved will be posted on the Dubai Business Women’s Council website shortly.

Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager at DBWC, described the initiative as an important step towards enhancing the indispensable role of women in critical sectors of the United Arab Emirates economy.

According to Ms Halabi, the industries selected for the dialogue are fully aligned with Dubai’s strategic priorities.
