Vertical mall to be built in Dubai
Residents and guests of Dubai will be able to shop in the second tallest building in the world – the developer Azizi Developments announced the construction of a tower with a vertical mall.
In addition to the vertical mall, the skyscraper on Sheikh Zayed Highway will house a seven-star hotel, luxury apartments and penthouses, as well as elite restaurants and a panoramic observation deck.
The cost of the Burj Azizi project is estimated at US$ 1.5bn and it is expected to be completed in 4 years. Azizi Developments first announced the construction of the 122-storey skyscraper in March 2018.
As you know, the 828-metre tall Burj Khalifa is the tallest tower in the world since its opening on January 4, 2010. To become the second tallest in the world, the Burj Azizi tower would have to be taller than 679 metres, which is the height of the Merdeka 118 tower in Malaysia, which was unveiled in November last year.
To become the second tallest building in the city, the Burj Azizi Tower would have to be taller than 450 metres, which is the same height as the Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower currently under construction in the Dubai Marina area.
Currently, the second tallest tower in the city, according to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Environment, is Marina 101, at 425 metres, and the third tallest is Princess Tower, also located in the Dubai Marina area, at 413 metres.
