Dubai releases Dubai Creek Harbour guidebook
Dubai’s Department of Economic Affairs and Tourism has released a guide to Dubai Creek Harbour, the emirate’s new dynamic neighbourhood located on the shores of Dubai Creek, a 10-minute drive from the city centre and 20 minutes from the International Airport.
The scenic waterfront is home to The Viewing point, a free viewing platform, and Creek Play, a children’s playground. Creek Play consists of several play areas decorated in bright colours and silhouettes, echoing the old oriental markets and neighbourhoods.
Children will love the marine-themed area with a large whale and submarine, the desert area with simulated sand dunes and other exciting attractions.
In addition to the promenade areas, Dubai Creek Harbour is famous for its leisurely coffee shops and restaurants, including Flaky pasties, Floating Café, Aqaya and Next Door Kitchen, and Vietnamese authentic Vietnamese Foodies.
In Dubai Creek Harbour area there are hotels: Vida Creek Beach 4*, Vida Creek Harbour 4* and Address Grand Creek Harbour 5*. Nearby Dubai Creek Harbour is home to the Ras Al Khor Flamingo Sanctuary, the creative arts venue Jameel Arts Centre and Creek Park. You can also cross the bay on a traditional abra boat for just AED 1.
