WO-RK: Dubai Metro’s first co-working space
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with Co-Spaces, is launching the first co-working space called WO-RK, which will operate at Burjuman Metro station.
Scheduled to open on 1 April, the testing period will run until 30 June. The co-working centre will be able to offer everyone a convenient, affordable and inspiring place to work right within the metro station.
The centre will also provide essential business support services, simplifying the process of obtaining licences, EJARI and business addresses. It will also host educational and mentoring programmes.
“RTA is proud to see another one of its promising concepts turned into reality. This is directly the establishment of a co-working space at Burjuman Metro Station. Through this initiative, RTA aims to achieve its strategic goals in line with the Dubai City Plan 2040, and make the emirate – the world’s best city to live in,” said Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of Commerce and Investment at RTA.
“Building on the success of the launch of the first co-working space at Burjuman Metro Station, RTA will consider expanding the co-working network to other favourable locations in the metro,” added Mr Al Hammadi.
“We are proud to partner with RTA to create WO-RK, a revolutionary co-working concept. This partnership is in line with our commitment to provide innovative working solutions, and create a dynamic working environment. By embarking on this journey with RTA, we hope to shape the future of co-working spaces by offering a unique combination of convenience, flexibility and inclusion to all members of society,” said Shahzad Bhatti, Founder of The Co-Spaces.
