Ali Saidi wins Emirates Draw lottery 39 times
Ali Saidi, who lives in the Turkish capital Istanbul, considers himself a truly lucky man after winning 30,000 dirhams in the Emirates Draw lottery. It has been learnt that he bought 39 winning tickets just a week after he had already bought 43 winning tickets in the previous draw.
The lucky Turk said that he plans to continue buying tickets for part of his winnings, as he aims to win bigger prizes in future draws, and he has not given up hope of winning the Dh15 million Easy6 grand prize soon.
“Winning inspires me to play even more,” says Ali, who works as managing director of a logistics company in Turkey. He plans to use the remaining money to go travelling with his wife and children and donate to charity.
Since he learnt about the Emirates Draw in 2022, Ali has been buying a few tickets every week.
But Ali Saidi isn’t the only lucky one. The driver from the southern Indian state of Kerala couldn’t believe his luck when he won Dh60,000 with Easy6.
“It’s unbelievable. I don’t know if it’s a dream, but I’m definitely planning to pay off some loans,” he said.
An Indian-origin Kuwaiti resident named Akbar Ali won Dh50,000 in the draw. With the prize money, he hopes to provide a good education and future for his children.
“I always follow the draws live but this time I couldn’t as I was busy with work. When I got the email notification, I thought I had won Dh1,000, but when I saw the 50,000, I was just shocked!” – Akbar Ali said.
Although Emirates Draw, like other lotteries, has suspended its operations in the UAE, it is still open to participants outside the country.
