ATM unveils first robot flight attendant

Qatar Airways will showcase the world’s first humanoid flight attendant equipped with artificial intelligence technology in Dubai during ATM. The robot flight attendant will be available to meet at the Arabian Travel Market international travel exhibition.

The Sama 2.0 robot flight attendant can answer questions in real time, help travellers plan their trip, and answer frequently asked questions about the airline’s operations.

Visitors to the show can also virtually interact with Sama 2.0 through the airline’s immersive digital platform QVerse or its app.

This year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the Middle East’s largest domestic and outbound tourism business exhibition, will take place from 6-9 May at the World Trade Centre.

Each year, thousands of tourism products are showcased to visitors and professionals from around the world. Contracts worth more than Dh91 billion have been signed during the exhibition in previous years.

Every year, the exhibition is visited by representatives of tourism companies, government delegations, journalists and internet bloggers to discuss market prospects and the latest trends in tourism.

ATM 2024 is expected to include a series of lectures, reports and panel discussions, including speeches by major tourism business representatives, during which they will share their knowledge and experience with participants.
