Bear Grylls to speak at IGCF in UAE
British TV presenter, traveller and renowned survivor Bear Grylls will speak at the International Government Forum (IGCF) to be held in Sharjah on 4-5 September 2024.
On the first day of the forum, Bear Grylls will talk about his arduous journey from traveller to entrepreneur. He will take to the stage to share with the forum audience how he turned his passion for adventure into a force for inspiring change around the world.
As the author of The Boy Who Climbed Everest, Bear Grylls will talk about his transformation from a boy who only dreamed of climbing an incredible height to a global influencer. He will share his motivations for writing a children’s book and discuss how his adventures align with government ideas and promote adventure tourism.
In his talk, ‘An Adventurer Who Invests in Exciting Travel,’ he will talk about turning passion into a source of inspiration for others, and the valuable lessons from his adventure experiences that can be applied to the business world.
In addition to the renowned traveller, the forum will feature Maya Ghazal, a Syrian girl who became the first refugee to obtain a commercial pilot’s licence. Maya is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and winner of The Diana Award.
She will speak about the role of traditional and social media in spreading her refugee advocacy efforts, strategies for creating a supportive environment for talented refugees and the importance of harnessing this talent in host communities.
Also speaking at the forum will be Zackery Derenowski, better known as MD Motivator, a Canadian star who inspires over 30 million subscribers with his impactful videos on health, kindness and philanthropy. He will share his experience in transforming fame into a sustainable positive influence that benefits others.
