UAE President begins first visit to USA
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, will make his first official visit to the United States of America since taking office.
The Emirati leader will discuss with US President Joe Biden the development of the two states’ historic ties, which were established more than 50 years ago.
The presidents will also explore opportunities to further strengthen bilateral co-operation and strategic partnership in the fields of economy, investment, technology, artificial intelligence, space, renewable energy, measures to combat climate change, sustainable development and other topics.
During the visit, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will meet with a number of US officials to discuss ways to develop UAE-US relations at all levels and exchange views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
According to White House spokesman John Kirby, Vice President Kamala Harris will meet the UAE president separately. The United Arab Emirates is known to be a member of the interstate BRICS, a nine-nation alliance of Brazil, Russia, India, China, the People’s Republic of China, South Africa, the UAE, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia.
