Another Dorchester Collection hotel to open in Dubai

One of the largest Dubai-based property developers OMNIYAT has announced the start of construction of a new Dorchester Collection hotel on The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The project will be called The Alba and the construction cost is estimated at US$ 1.9bn.

The project will include luxury residences, as well as a high-class hotel with a spa centre. The design is created in the famous bureau Zaha Hadid Architects. It is planned that The Alba project will distinguish the first Dorchester Collection garden complex by the sea.

Each residence will have its own amenities including private pools, outdoor Jacuzzis and sunbathing platforms on outdoor terraces. Buyers will be offered 2-,3- and 4-bedroom residences, one- and two-level flats, as well as penthouses.

Residents of the residences will have access to the hotel’s amenities, including panoramic swimming pools, wellness pools, a fitness room, beach areas and a signature spa. The landscape architect for the project was Vladimir Djurovich.

As it became known earlier, the opening of the tallest hotel in the world Ciel Tower is planned in Dubai in 2025. The height of the building will be 365 metres, the hotel will offer more than 1000 rooms on 80+ floors.

It is planned that the mega building will fit perfectly into the coastline of Dubai in the prestigious Dubai Marina neighbourhood. The hotel will be officially named Ciel, Vignette Collection and will be part of the Vignette Collection by IHG Hotels and Resorts.

It will feature three restaurants, Dubai’s highest landscaped pool, a fitness centre, spa, club lounge, and a bar and lounge with an observation deck offering panoramic views of the sea, city and islands.
