New Taxi Ordering Service to appear in Dubai
Bolt and Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) have signed a partnership agreement at Gitex Global to launch the UAE’s largest e-hailing platform for taxis.
Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of DTC, said that this partnership with one of the largest e-hailing platforms in the world, with operations in over 500 cities and 200 million customers, will create the largest e-hailing platform in the UAE.
‘This is a landmark agreement that brings together DTC’s huge fleet of over 6,000 vehicles and Bolt’s advanced global mobility platform. Together, we aim to create a new mobility leader in Dubai,’ said Mansoor Alfalasi, CEO of DTC.
Mr Alfalasi clarified that Dubai Taxi will also reach out to tourists by leveraging Bolt’s large database of users.
‘Whenever people come to Dubai and switch on their mobile phones, they will see a pop-up message from Bolt. Also, we are the only operator at Dubai International Airport, which is favourable for us,’ he added.
‘As part of this deal, we are providing the technology and global expertise, while DTC is providing its vehicles and real-world local skills. Together we can create a better solution for everyone in Dubai,’ said Markus Willig, founder and CEO of Bolt.
