Dubai unveils Eid Al Etihad celebration programme
From 28 November to 3 December, Dubai will host a major celebration to mark Eid Al Etihad, the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates. The events organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) on this occasion will provide an unforgettable experience for residents and visitors to the city.
Each day of the festivities, the skies over Dubai will be lit up with fireworks. On December 1, spectators will be able to enjoy fireworks at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR at 20:00, while on December 2, colourful lights will shine at Hatta at 20:00 and over Dubai Festival City Mall at 21:10. The fireworks series will conclude on 3 December with fireworks at Al Seef at 21:00.
On 2 December, the grand celebrations will begin at City Walk at 16:00. Guests will be entertained by more than 200 artists – the programme includes acrobats, traditional musical groups and interactive performances. The event will be rounded off with a concert by renowned Emirati performer Mohammed Al Shehhi and his band.
On 28 November, the Coca-Cola Arena will host the ‘Jalsat Moments’ concert, featuring popular Arab performers such as Ayed Yusuf and Eida Al Menhali.
From November 29 to December 2, shoppers will be offered special discounts on perfumes, jewellery, clothing and other goods in the city’s shopping malls. One of the highlights of the celebration will be a performance by Ariam and Faisal Al Jasim at Dubai Festival City Mall on 2 December.
In addition, from 28 November to 3 December, Dubai restaurants will offer unique gastronomic experiences as part of the Emirati Eats programme, where diners can sample traditional Emirati and international cuisine.
The Eid Al Etihad celebrations promise to be a significant event attracting the attention of locals and tourists alike.
