Father’s Fund Campaign Raises Over $900 Million During Ramadan

A charitable initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has garnered more than AED 3.304 billion (approximately $900 million) within days of its launch during the holy month of Ramadan. The “Father’s Fund” campaign aims to establish a dedicated fund to provide medical care and treatment for vulnerable individuals worldwide.

The initiative has seen overwhelming participation, with over 160,000 donors contributing to the cause, including businesses, private entities, and government organizations. The campaign underscores the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian efforts and solidarity with those in need.

Donations continue to be accepted through six primary channels:

  • The campaign’s official website
  • A dedicated toll-free call center(800 4999)
  • The DubaiNow app
  • Bank transfers in AED to the campaign’s Emirates Islamic Bank account (IBAN: AE020340003518492868201)
  • SMS donations by texting “Father” to the following numbers:
    • 1034 to donate AED 10
    • 1035 to donate AED 50
    • 1036 to donate AED 100
    • 1038 to donate AED 500

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the campaign’s alignment with the values of Ramadan, stating, “Our goal is to extend hope and support to those facing health challenges, regardless of their location. This initiative reflects the UAE’s spirit of giving and its role as a global humanitarian leader.”

The funds will prioritize critical medical services, including surgeries, treatments, and healthcare infrastructure for underprivileged communities. The “Father’s Fund” highlights the UAE’s ongoing efforts to leverage philanthropy as a tool for global impact, particularly during Ramadan—a time traditionally associated with generosity and compassion.

As contributions continue to pour in, the campaign sets a powerful example of collective action, uniting individuals and institutions in addressing pressing healthcare needs worldwide.
