UAE Team Emirates-XRG Celebrates Three Victories Across European Races
UAE Team Emirates-XRG has once again proven its dominance in professional cycling with three impressive victories in Europe. The team’s standout performer, world champion Tadej Pogačar, delivered a masterclass at the legendary Liège–Bastogne–Liège race, securing his team’s 35th win of the season.
Pogačar made his decisive move 35 kilometers from the finish, launching a powerful attack on the iconic Côte de la Redoute climb. He crossed the finish line with a commanding lead of one minute and three seconds ahead of Italy’s Giulio Ciccone from Lidl-Trek, who took second place, and Ireland’s Ben Healy from EF Education-EasyPost, who rounded out the podium in third.
This victory marks Pogačar’s ninth win in cycling’s prestigious “monument” races, placing him third in the all-time rankings, behind only legends Eddy Merckx and Roger De Vlaeminck. Additionally, the Slovenian rider has made history by becoming the first cyclist to podium in six different monument races, further cementing his status as one of the sport’s greatest talents.
The team’s success continued at the Vuelta a Asturias in Spain, where Marc Soler claimed victory on the fourth stage from Navia to Oviedo. The 135.6-kilometer route featured challenging climbs with a total elevation gain of 2,550 meters. Soler finished with a comfortable lead, capping off a strong performance in the race. For the 31-year-old Spaniard, this win marks his first since his triumph at last year’s Vuelta a España and his first stage race victory since 2018.
The recent achievements of UAE Team Emirates-XRG highlight the squad’s depth and consistency, with multiple riders contributing to its growing list of victories this season. As the cycling world turns its attention to upcoming races, the team’s momentum suggests even more success could be on the horizon.
