Dubai to Host Premier Padel P1 Tournament

Dubai is preparing to host the Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament for its second edition from November 9 to 16, 2025. The event will take place at the Hamdan Sports Complex, the largest indoor sports facility in the Middle East with a seating capacity of over 7,000 spectators.

This year’s tournament features an increased prize pool of 1.98 million AED (approximately $540,000) and will bring together 240 elite players. Among the participants are world number one players including Spain’s Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría in women’s doubles, along with the top-ranked men’s pair Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia.

Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, emphasized the event’s significance, noting that the tournament’s return highlights padel’s growing popularity both in the region and worldwide. The Hamdan Sports Complex, known for hosting major international competitions in various sports, will stage its first official padel tournament this year.

The UAE has been at the forefront of padel’s development in Asia. The UAE Padel Federation, established in 2014, was among the first of its kind on the continent and gained official recognition that same year. By 2016, the federation became part of the International Padel Federation. Today, the country boasts about 1,000 padel courts, representing 30% of Asia’s total and 2% of the global count, reflecting the sport’s rapid growth in the region.

With top players, a premier venue, and Dubai’s reputation for hosting world-class sporting events, the 2025 Dubai Premier Padel P1 is set to be a major highlight in the international padel calendar.
