Dubai Airshow 2025 to Feature First Vertiport for Flying Taxis

Visitors to Dubai Airshow 2025 will have the opportunity to see a model vertiport for flying taxis and experience the future of aerial mobility. The exhibition will take place from November 17 to 21 at Dubai World Central.

Vertiports are designated zones for takeoff, landing, and maintenance of air taxis, with commercial flights expected to begin in the emirate early next year. In January 2025, UAE authorities announced that the country’s first commercial vertiport will be named Dubai International Vertiport (DXV).

The event is expected to attract over 1,500 participants from around the world, showcasing more than 200 aircraft. Organizers highlighted that special attention will be given to the entry of electric air taxis into the market and the supporting infrastructure. The airshow will serve as a launch platform for developing the aviation infrastructure and regulations aimed at transforming the travel industry.

New advanced air mobility (AAM) companies such as India’s Sarla Aviation and China’s TransFuture Aviation will also participate. Their presence underscores the growing number of companies entering and expanding within this emerging sector. Established players like Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation will present their latest aircraft developments and market strategies, while exhibitors including Autocraft, Eanan, and WeFly will showcase innovations shaping the next phase of industry growth.
