Dubai Announces Month-Long Festivities for UAE’s 54th National Day

Dubai is set to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the formation of the United Arab Emirates with an extensive month-long program of events running from November 3rd to December 2nd. The schedule includes 25 distinct celebratory activities across the emirate, all organized under the theme #ZayedAndRashid, honoring the nation’s founding fathers, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

The celebrations will see participation from various government, semi-government, and private institutions, offering a diverse array of experiences for residents and visitors. Key highlights include spectacular fireworks at the Burj Khalifa, a colorful UAE Flag Garden installation at Umm Suqeim Beach near the Burj Al Arab, and numerous festivals in major shopping malls.

A wide range of cultural and entertainment venues will serve as hubs for the festivities. The Al Safa Library will host poetry evenings and musical performances, while the Global Village will feature firework displays, drone shows, and theatrical performances in late November. Expo City Dubai will be the site of the large-scale Dhai Dubai light festival and a “Festival of Cakes.”

For those interested in heritage, the ethnographical villages in Hatta and Al Fahidi will provide immersive insights into Emirati history and traditions. The Mohammed bin Rashid Library will launch a winter festival with workshops for young talents, and the Etihad Museum will present a special multimedia exhibition detailing the nation’s founding history. The celebrations will culminate on December 2nd with concerts and firework displays across the city, providing a fitting finale to a month dedicated to national pride and unity.
